Ohio’s premier grassroots festival is honored to return to the beautiful Nelson Ledges Quarry Park. Our late July date makes this venue perfect for a high-powered summer swimming, camping and concert get-away. Giving music lovers a safe and affordable retreat from the daily grind is what we do best! We invite you to become a part of our experience and our community, something special. Nelson Ledges, if you ask, is straight out of the perfect dream! Surrounded by Nelson-Kennedy State Park, This legendary venue circumnavigates a huge, clean water swimming quarry. Take part in swimming, cliff diving, scuba diving, or just relax on a raft all day long. The large natural sand beach is always kept family friendly, and makes a perfect swimming entrance point to the quarry. Lay out and catch some sun, build a sandcastle, grab a hula-hoop! A children’s swim area is roped off in the shallows, and lifeguards are on hand. The large sand beach extends into and beyond the main stage area, making shoes optional for the event. Light shows, laser shows, and other visual effects surround you as we present over 15 musical acts on two stages, with no overlapping sets. Extending off both sides of the main stage, you will find our vendors’ row, featuring the finest collection of food, clothing, and merchandise vending the state of Ohio assembles. Your family and friends may also enjoy the arcade, basketball court, volleyball court, children’s playground, and for the anglers we have two large fishing ponds. Encompassing all of this is the Majestic, well kept forest, where you will find rustic camping at its best. Dry gravel roads will lead you to your site, where you can park at your campsite, a rarity in music festivals today. Shade is in abundance, and campfires illuminate the night. Here you may discover that, with all the entertainment going on in the commons, the true beauty of Shamy Bash is the display of individualism our patrons are free to express. We welcome you to come let your hair down, meet some great people, hear some fantastic live music, eat some amazing food, and get that well deserved R&R you so well need.
